BMW Car Club Gauteng Track Day for all – Zwartkops – 10 July 2016

On Sunday 10 July 2016, the BMW Car Club Gauteng will host their second Bridgestone Track Day for 2016 at Zwartkops Raceway supported by the Club Motors Fountains BMW Dealership.

The track day is open to all makes of vehicle. Race cars are most welcome but they will be in a separate session. The track day will be time based where cars are let onto track in sessions with cars of similar times in a race against the clock to set the best lap.

This is open to novice and experienced drivers in any make of vehicle, as long as you are a holder of an MSA licence and have a track worthy vehicle. If you are a first timer, the club also runs a Track School in the morning to get you comfortable with driving your car on track and understand the necessary etiquette on a track day to stay out of trouble.

If that is too much thrill, you can always strap yourself into a hot lap car where a professional driver will treat you to flying laps for just R100 in the new BMW 335i.

Our trophy sponsors for the event are Autoquip Alberton and there are a total of 48 trophies up for grabs with 16 different classes with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for both BMW’s and various non BMW classes. Besides giving each winner a trophy, each 1st place trophy winner will also receive a Mile Extender voucher worth over R1500 from Autoquip Alberton. It includes 3x wheel alignments, 3x sets of wheel balancing, 2x puncture repairs and 2x safety checks. The voucher is redeemable at any Autoquip store and is not limited to the same vehicle. 2nd and 3rd place trophy winners will also get a wheel alignment voucher from Autoquip Alberton.

The action kicks off at 09:30 AM on the Sunday morning and carries on right until 16:30 PM. Entry at the gate is free for spectators but if you want to participate there are fees involved- more information can be found at www.BMWCarClub.co.za.
