The BMW Car Club track days have become incredibly well attended motoring events over the last few years- attracting more spectators than some national race days in the past.
This has created a competitive spirit that might be intimidating to some.
The Club remains resolute though to provide the most well organised, safest and most enjoyable track day that any motoring enthusiast can attend.

| The Club kicks off its track day season at Zwartkops on Saturday 28 February with the first round of the Bridgestone Track Challenge. Even though there is a competitive Time Trial and Racing Series Championship on the day, the Club is inviting the public to join as members and participate. There are 3 ways to get involved: |
| Bridgestone Hot Laps– a 3 lap experience around the track as a passenger. The cost is just R100; there is no need to pre-register for this. |

| Bridgestone Track School– a basic introduction to driving on track that includes some theory and practical training in a BMW Driving Experience 335i. The cost for this is R500 or only an additional R150 if you enter the Track Challenge. |
| Bridgestone Track Challenge– The most popular part of the event which is where the club’s racing series was born in 2010. Any make of car is welcome; every level of driving skill is catered for from a complete novice to a seasoned professional. Club membership, an MSA licence, a helmet and gloves are required. Helmets can be hired for R200 for the day. You will be placed in a session equivalent to your driving skill and your cars performance and if you finish in the top 3 of the 10 classes you will be awarded a prize. The cost for this is R850 and you will have enough time allocated to you to complete 100 laps of the circuit. |

Safety
|
| This is of paramount importance to the Club and the organisers. The club has been organising these events for more than 20 years with a 100% safety record. |
| There are the same number of medics and marshals you would see on a national race day and the Club has strict rules about driving conduct as well as ensuring drivers improve their competency throughout the day. |
| Every car is carefully checked for mechanical competence and safety before being allowed on track. The Club has earned itself a reputation of running very well thought out and skilfully executed events, yet all participants agree that the organisers have a knack for keeping them fun, relaxed and very social. |

Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series

| This event is also the opening round for the Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series that will serve as the maiden race for the newly formed BMW Challenge Class. |
| This is a class of mostly standard BMW E36 328i Sedans where each car is technically equal. In what can best be described as running close to the original Group N rules, this promises some exciting racing. |
| Entry to the circuit is free of charge to the public. |
| Gates open at 8 and the action kicks off shortly thereafter. |
| Food and drink is available for sale throughout the day. |
