The first round of the 2017 Inland Championship saw the popular Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series kick things off at the rustic Midvaal Raceway on Saturday 11 February with an impressive 25 cars qualifying for the event.

Qualifying
Julian Fameliaris (E36 328i Turbo) started the new season off the same way that he did in 2016 by taking pole position ahead of Desmond Bloem (E36 M3 Turbo). Stefano Martinelli (E36 328i Turbo) would line up on the second row of the grid with Riaan Woest (E46 M3 GTR) alongside him. Rick Loureiro (E30 3.2 CSL) and Manny Ribeiro (E46 328i Turbo) would round out the top six in what promised to be an exciting start to the first race of the season.
The Bridgestone BMW Club Racing Series returned to the popular Red Star Raceway on Saturday 12 November for the final round of the 2016 Championship. With three of the five championship titles still to be decided it was an all or nothing affair for the competitors involved.
Bloem finished the day with a convincing win in the second race
Qualifying
Julian Fameliaris (E36 328i Turbo) grabbed pole position by half a second ahead of Desmond Bloem (E36 M3 Turbo). Brothers Rick Loureiro (E30 3.2 CSL) and Paulo Loureiro (E36 M3) would lock out the second row with Riaan Woest (E46 M3 GTR) and Stefano Martinelli (E36 328i Turbo) rounding out the top six positions.
Fourie clinch the coveted Overall and the 2016 INEX Legends Pro Division crown
The INEX Legends Championship headed back to the Red Star Raceway for the final round of the 2016 racing season on Saturday 12 November.
The traditional ball draw for grid positions saw Janeske Viljoen (INEX Legends SA) on pole position ahead of Ian Upton (R.U. Racing). Lonika Maartens (Maxtrac / Denmar Steel) would line up in third place with Llewellyn Myburgh (Bamboo Racing) alongside him on the second row. Steve Nel (INEX Legends SA) and Clinton Bezuidenhout (Universal Healthcare) would round out the top six.
Race 1
The first race of the day saw Maartens grab an early lead ahead of Steve Nel (INEX Legends SA), Bezuidenhout and Seef Fourie (Maxtrac / Denmar Steel). Nel ran wide through turn three however allowing the rest of the chasing pack to get past him. Fourie grabbed second before the end of the first lap but Bezuidenhout was still glued to his rear bumper.
