Defending World and SA champion Devin Robertson (Pro) has once again extended his lead in the championship after a brace of wins at the previous event and will no doubt be looking for maximum points yet again. Seef Fourie (Pro) continues to hold onto second position and will no doubt be looking to pick up a decent points haul himself.

Robertson’s team mate Willie Erasmus (Pro) has been in fine form of late, and moves up to third position in the overall championship after a string of good results over the past few races.

Keagan Wessels (Semi-pro) continues to improve with every outing and he jumps up two positions to fourth place in the championship. He will however have to worry about experienced veteran Franco di Matteo (Master) who is only fifty points behind him. The pair have been very evenly matched of late and it will be an all-out tussle between the two for more vital championship points. Llewellyn Myburgh (Pro) continues to drop down the leader board after missing the last few events but is not too far behind the two men ahead of him.

Shaun Nel (Pro) holds onto seventh position and will no doubt be looking for a bit more consistency at the Midvaal event. Justin Robertson (Master) continues to make progress with a number of solid points scoring results of late. He now finds himself in eighth position overall. Young Lonika Maartens (YL) has been in incredible form over the past few events and continues to charge up the leader board at this late point in the season. She is well within striking distance of the two men ahead of her and will be looking to move further up the leader board. Divan Myburgh (Pro) has dropped down to tenth position after missing the last few events. It is hoped that he and the rest of the family will make a strong return to the series at this event.

With more than a dozen other drivers in the field who are all capable of taking a points scoring position the racing is expected to be closer than ever.
